Ajvar is a pepper-based condiment made principally from red bell peppers and oil. Ajvar is used in Southeast Europe, in Serbian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Macedonian, Montenegrin, Albanian, and to a small degree the Slovenian cuisine.
Serve as a dip with crusty bread, crackers, or raw vegetables. Use as a sandwich spread alone or mixed with vegan mayo. Use anywhere you'd use ketchup–on roasted potatoes is particularly good. Stir into warm pasta
